Job Title: General Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our operations in Zambia. Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement a long-term business plan and annual budget to achieve agreed business goals.
  • Oversee day-to-day business operations, including sales, technical support, finances, planning, customer service, logistics, administration, human resources, health and safety, and animal welfare compliance.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the management team, ensuring that employees are motivated and capable of achieving business goals.
  • Engage with joint venture partners to deliver overall success and build relationships with relevant government authorities and other organizations in the country and region.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, company agreements, and relevant legal, health & safety, and fiscal regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and performance standards, evaluate employee performance, and provide coaching and support as needed.
  • Manage profit and loss statements, account for costs and revenues, and allocate budget resources for supplies, equipment, marketing, and personnel.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of poultry experience in production management and customer interaction, with a relevant Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Multinational stakeholder experience, with significant experience in working across functions, cultures, and geographies.
  • Working joint venture partnership experience is highly desirable, as is working abroad in Sub-Saharan Africa and working with JV partners.
