Strategic Human Capital Manager

The Functional Strategic HR Manager plays a pivotal role in embedding the National PPC strategy into the Functional strategy, serving as a strategic partner to the Function. This position requires an individual with exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, capable of driving one Function agenda by co-creating and facilitating cross-BUHR activities within the Function.
Responsibilities
This role encompasses three key areas of responsibility:
1. Strategic Guidance
* Enable the Functional leadership to achieve strategic goals by integrating HR strategy to Functional strategy
* Maintain a current and appropriate knowledge of KPMG and HR, its strategy, Business priorities and major trends, especially in areas that are relevant to the Function
2. Management Support
* Provide independent reviews of the annual resourcing and salary budgets for the Functional leadership
* Challenge BU HR Managers to be HR brand ambassadors, ensuring consistency and fairness in applying PPC practices across the Business units in the Function
3. Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as an advisor to the Functional leadership, BU HR Managers, and other stakeholders, building and managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Skills and Attributes Required
This position demands individuals with a strong background in executing strategy in a professional services organisation, coupled with knowledge in HR methodologies, tools, and techniques, and value chains. Essential skills include leadership and stakeholder management, critical thinking, interpersonal engagement, analytical/statistical abilities, transformational leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, coaching, negotiation, presentation, and business management skills. Additionally, candidates should possess high levels of interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, confidentiality, ethics, ability to manage teams, organisational skills, sound decision-making ability, and attention to detail.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a degree in social sciences/industrial psychology/human resources or related discipline, with a minimum of 7 years' HR generalist experience, and at least 5 years working at a senior management level.
