Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial property sector, building relationships with external stakeholders and networking to expand our client base.
  • Client Management: Manage relationships with existing clients, providing exceptional service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems, identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and add value to Nedbank.
  • Risk Management: Manage risk by following due process in the processing of client applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other business units, such as Legal and Client Services, to achieve business objectives.
  • Results Orientation: Contribute to business results by charging market-related fees on each lending transaction, achieving risk-adjusted returns on equity, and managing workflow effectively.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate, Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees, and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Property Economics (preferred).
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in structured lending in a financial institution.
  • Technical Skills: Cluster-specific operational knowledge, relevant regulatory knowledge, principles of project management, relevant software and systems knowledge, communication strategies, banking knowledge, data analysis, research methodology, governance, risk, and controls, and principles of financial management.
  • Behavioural Competencies: Sales disposition, building trusting relationships, driving for results, technical/professional knowledge and skills, managing work, and decision-making.
