Plant Propagation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Propagation Specialist to join our team at Bosman Adama, a leading name in high-quality plant material propagation.

This exciting opportunity is crucial for driving innovation and maintaining optimal production efficiency across our vineyard and propagation operations.

• Tissue Culture Leadership: Oversee and enhance tissue culture processes, ensuring genetic integrity, plant health, and high propagation success rates.
• Supply Chain Management: Plan and oversee the propagation and supply of tissue culture according to demand forecasts.
• Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control systems to maintain the highest standards in plant material.
• Team Development: Mentor and train propagation staff on cutting-edge techniques and technologies.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A matric qualification, with a tertiary qualification advantageous
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Expertise in tissue culture development and plant propagation techniques
• Proficiency in demand planning, budgeting, and supply chain coordination
• Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

The estimated annual salary for this position is around R800,000 - R1,200,000 depending on experience.
