Job Overview

Gijima Holdings seeks an experienced Network Infrastructure Manager to oversee the effective provision of stable network infrastructure connectivity. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing operations to meet all SLAs, overseeing audit reviews, and directing technical functions and development projects.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Network Planning and Implementation
  • Develop specific plans to ensure adherence to the Customer Network Plan, including iOS upgrade planning and configuration template reviews aligned to CIS standards.
  • Produce network designs in accordance with Customer-approved standards and update network diagrams for projects.
  • Liaise with regional network specialists and operations teams regarding implementation.
  1. Network Capacity and Implementation Planning
  • Facilitate network planning by optimizing network capacity and configuration.
  • Ensure optimal long-term expansion and refurbishment of the network by developing network expansion and refurbishment master plans fully integrated with the Customer Network Plan.
  • Coordinate regional network planning and implementation.
  • Perform complex network configuration and network capacity analysis of Customer's network.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Formal Education: Grade 12 (NQF 4) or IT business-related qualification (desirable).
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in operations management with experience in management of operations, network services and solution support, strategy design and implementation, and vendor/supplier management.
  • Certifications: Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
Key Competencies
  • Knowledge: HR principles and resource management, management of the production environment, networking technology and the wider IT infrastructure, ITIL and other relevant frameworks, project management principles, contracts management, procurement procedures and processes, and strategic understanding of the technical vs. business environment.
  • Skills: Leadership and people management, financial management, budgeting, actuals and forecasting, communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
