Job Summary:

The Senior Stormwater Drainage Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient stormwater drainage systems for major roads, industrial, and renewable energy projects. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, project management skills, and excellent communication abilities.

About the Role:

  • Provide technical consultation and design services for stormwater drainage infrastructure projects, including road drainage design, stormwater systems, culvert design, flood line determination, erosion protection, and water-sensitive urban design.
  • Develop and implement discipline-specific technical practices, specifications, and procedures.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers in the design and implementation of stormwater drainage projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver complex infrastructure projects.
  • Engage with clients and subconsultants to provide specialist technical advice and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in stormwater drainage design and engineering.
  • Professional registration or working towards professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
  • Post-graduate qualification in Stormwater Engineering would be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of Autodesk Civil3D, Civil Designer, HEC-RAS, SWMM, and other relevant design software packages.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
