Senior Structural Engineer

As a Senior Structural Engineer at Network Recruitment, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, analysis, and implementation of structural engineering solutions within the mining environment. You will lead a team of engineers and collaborate with other departments to ensure the integrity and safety of structures such as foundations, processing plants, conveyors, and mining infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Leadership: Lead the design, development, and implementation of structural projects, ensuring they meet all safety and regulatory standards.
- Structural Analysis: Perform advanced structural analysis and calculations to ensure the stability, strength, and durability of mining infrastructure.
- Team Management: Manage project teams, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and oversee contractors to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
- Structural Assessments: Conduct structural assessments, risk analysis, and inspections on existing and new structures.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards, including ASCE, AISC, and local building regulations.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and leadership within the engineering team.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed project documentation, reports, and presentations for clients and senior management.
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on heavy industry, mining, or similar sectors.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD Pro, ANSYS) and design tools.
- Certifications: Proficiency in relevant standards and codes (e.g., ASCE, AISC, BS).
- Leadership: Demonstrated project management experience, including overseeing teams and contractors.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Certifications: Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
