Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Professional Senior Structural Engineer to join our Property, Science, Industry, and Technology team in South Africa. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work on local and global projects, collaborating with colleagues across the continent and region.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage medium to large-scale property projects as a structural engineer.
  2. Lead small to medium-sized teams and possess strong technical knowledge in structural engineering, including hands-on skills in different structural forms, construction materials, design stages, and project sectors.
  3. Work within a multidisciplinary engineering team, understanding the role and interactions of all engineering services to execute a project.
  4. Prior experience in the healthcare and technology industry is preferred, with the ability to play a civil lead role in addition to the structure lead role.
Requirements
  1. Be a registered Professional Engineer via ECSA or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
  2. Deliver own work, aligning with other related work streams and broader goals of the group or project.
  3. Ability to plan and manage client and external relationships.
  4. Be conversant with design codes and guiding industry analysis and design software.
  5. Have strong commercial awareness and skills in predicting, planning, and managing resource requirements to achieve financial targets and meet deadlines.
