We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Indsafri.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our banking applications. They will design, implement, and execute test cases to validate system functionality, performance, security, and compliance with banking regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for banking applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing on banking software.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, GDPR, Basel III, and SOX.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product managers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA or similar tools.
- Conduct performance testing to evaluate system response times, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or TestNG.
- Ensure banking applications meet security standards, identifying vulnerabilities and supporting penetration testing efforts.
- Validate API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or Rest Assured.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline integration and ensure smooth releases.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- Proficiency in test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit).
- Experience in API testing and tools like Postman, Rest Assured.
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence.
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Knowledge of security testing principles and compliance requirements in banking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
