Job Title: Global Data Governance Strategist

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Data Governance Strategist to join our team at McCain Foods. As a key member of our data governance function, you will be responsible for ensuring the consistent and standardized management of data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Governance Strategy Development: Develop and implement data governance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across the organization.
  • Data Quality Management: Drive data quality by creating reports/metrics to ascertain data quality and integrity; research, analyze, and root cause identification of data errors and provide key design input for application functionality.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure the execution of cross-functional projects related to data governance.
  • Training and Communication: Facilitate training and communication to ensure employee awareness and understanding of data governance policies.
  • SAP Experience: Experience working in SAP for master data management (Customer, Product, and Vendor) is a must-have for this role.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years' experience with data management/governance, including but not limited to data governance, master data management, data protection, and/or data quality.
  • Technology Expertise: Experience working with PIM and Data Catalogue (Alation) / Data Governance / MDM technologies and systems is required.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in CPG or food and beverage industry is preferred.
