Medical Aid and Employee Benefits Administration Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Aid and Employee Benefits Administration Specialist to join our team at The Recruitment Council. This role involves providing vital administrative support to Medical Aid and Employee Benefits Consultants, ensuring the smooth management of medical aid schemes and employee benefits for clients.
About the Role:
- Manage the onboarding and termination process for members on medical aid schemes with precision and efficiency.
- Reconcile monthly billing reports with accuracy and ensure timely processing to maintain seamless client experiences.
- Assist clients and members with medical aid-related queries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Distribute membership certificates to members promptly to avoid any delays or discrepancies.
- Process new medical aid applications and verify all documentation is complete to prevent any errors or omissions.
- Liaise with medical aid service providers to resolve underwriting and coverage-related queries efficiently.
- Coordinate the addition or removal of dependents on medical aid schemes with minimal disruption.
- Notify members of any changes or updates to their medical aid membership through clear and concise communication.
- Organize Wellness Days for clients with attention to detail and a focus on smooth execution.
- Engage with members to address any medical aid-related inquiries in a helpful and knowledgeable manner.
- Maintain and update the medical aid client database with accuracy and up-to-date information.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Aid or Employee Benefits Assistant with a strong track record of success.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, to analyze and manage data effectively.
- Experience with X-Plan or other industry-related tools is highly advantageous for this role.
