Job Description

The Senior Manager Corporate Affairs will be responsible for building the corporate reputation of 2U in the South African region. This role involves managing external communications campaigns, developing annual and quarterly regional external communications goals, and working with the US-based corporate communications team to execute strategic comms campaigns.

This position requires a minimum of 15 years of experience in communications leadership roles, with a focus on corporate affairs or government affairs in South Africa. A degree or commensurate experience in Government, strategy, communications or project management is also required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of key employee communications needs and be able to develop internal communications goals that align with overall company, product and team goals. They will also be responsible for advising and overseeing internal communications and events to drive employee engagement and satisfaction.

About the Role

This role reports directly to the Chief Strategy & Engagement Officer based in the US. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to 2U Headquarters or other office locations from time to time, and may be required to work irregular hours to accommodate meetings across time zones.
