Job Title: Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at Staff Solutions Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, with relevant experience.
  • Control Systems Expertise: 5 years of practical experience in a control systems environment, with proficiency in Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs, and knowledge of other PLC brands.
  • Software Skills: Experience in working with TIA Portal and Studio 5000, with beneficial experience in S7, RS Logix 5000, and Logix 500.
  • Problem-Solving and Debugging: Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to lead or participate in control system projects from conception to implementation.
  • Communication Protocols: Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet or Profibus.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, including the ability to commission and start-up control systems in industrial settings.

Requirements:

  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, VB, C++, or C.
  • Industrial Robots: Knowledge of or experience working with industrial robots.
  • Safety in Control Systems: Familiarity with safety in control systems.
  • Electrical Drawings: Proficient in reading electrical drawings and diagnosing electrical systems.
