The appointed candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough biodiversity assessments and compiling comprehensive reports, adhering to gazetted protocols and applicable environmental legislation. A strong understanding of the vegetation types in either the summer rainfall biomes (Grassland, Savannah, Thicket, and Nama Karoo) or the winter rainfall biomes (Fynbos, Succulent Karoo, and parts of the Nama Karoo) is essential.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Botany, Zoology, Conservation Biology, or related tertiary qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental impact assessments, with proficiency in MS Word and other computer applications such as QGIS and Google Earth.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be a 'team player' with good socially interactive capabilities, and be self-motivated with the ability to work independently when required.
