About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our print design team at HomeChoice Holdings Limited as a skilled Print Designer. As a key member of our creative team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and engaging print materials that showcase our brand's unique style and tone.

Responsibilities

  • Creatively execute on design briefs from marketing, ensuring that our print materials consistently meet and exceed our brand's standards.
  • Liaise with photography on image selection and layout direction, working closely to ensure that our visual content is of the highest quality.
  • Develop design templates for print materials, plan layouts, and prepare for publication, ensuring that our print materials are visually appealing and effective in communicating our brand's message.
  • Produce considered and quality design that follows current print design best practices, always keeping our brand's tone and style in mind.
  • Roll out campaign artwork from key visuals across multiple sizes, platforms, and mediums, ensuring seamless execution and consistency across all channels.
  • Refresh landing page layouts and templates across multiple devices, ensuring that our online presence is cohesive and engaging.
  • Implement the use of CI, marketing directives, and seasonal themes across multiple publications, ensuring that our brand's message is always on point.
  • Ensure continuity of design across print materials, ensuring that our brand's visual identity is always consistent and recognizable.
  • Ensure design always considers the user perspective and journey, creating print materials that are engaging, informative, and easy to understand.
  • Deliver creative within agreed timelines, working closely with our project management team to ensure that deadlines are met.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A relevant qualification in Graphic Design, such as a degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • A strong and relevant design portfolio that showcases your skills and experience in print design.
  • A minimum of 5 years' working experience in print design with a focus on large layout design, ensuring that you have a deep understanding of print design principles and best practices.
  • A minimum of 3 years' working experience in digital design, ensuring that you have a solid understanding of digital design principles and best practices.
  • An understanding of digital and mobile-first design and best practices, ensuring that your print materials are always relevant and effective in today's digital landscape.
  • A good understanding of UI and UX principles, ensuring that your print materials are always user-friendly and engaging.
  • Experience in an online retail environment would be advantageous, as would experience in an e-commerce environment.
  • Understanding of HTML would be advantageous, as would experience with design tools such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe XD, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of Sketch, Figma, Zeplin, and Invision would be advantageous, as would experience with other design tools and software.
