Job Summary:

We are seeking an IT Security Specialist to join our team at JenRec Recruitment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid model while contributing to a highly secure and innovative payment processing environment.

About the Role:

The IT Security Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing security standards, policies, and procedures. This includes identifying and mitigating risks to information systems, investigating and resolving security incidents, ensuring compliance with PCI DSS and PCI P2PE standards, coordinating audits, and preparing for recertifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Security Policy Development: Develop and implement security standards, policies, and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
  2. Risk and Threat Management: Identify and mitigate risks to information systems by conducting regular vulnerability assessments and implementing corrective actions.
  3. Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and PCI P2PE standards by coordinating audits and preparing for recertifications.
  4. Vulnerability and Penetration Testing: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential security weaknesses.
  5. Data Protection: Establish and maintain data classification and protection measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
  6. Security Awareness: Lead security awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices and promote a culture of security within the organization.
  7. Consultation and Reporting: Provide internal security consultation and report on security risks and performance to ensure the organization's security posture is aligned with industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in IT security
  • Expertise in information security, risk management, and compliance
Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000-$120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
