Cognos Application Specialist
The purpose of this role is to support the Supply Chain Operations reporting solution by administrating the Cognos Analytics environment used for Supply Chain Reporting. This includes creating, modifying, debugging, troubleshooting, and testing new or existing reports, dashboards, and SSIS ETL scripts, ensuring that the reporting servers function reliably and optimally according to Shoprite standards.

Key Objectives:
  • Create and maintain Framework Manager models.
  • Develop complex reports using various tools in Cognos Analytics.
  • Create dimensional models (Cubes) for drill-through and intuitive dashboard creation.
  • Deliver development projects, manage releases, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Administer secure access to Cognos Analytics.

Required Skills:
  • Cognos Analytics Administration and Report Writing Proficiency – essential.
  • MS SSIS knowledge (intermediate to advanced) – essential.
  • Agile & Scrum experience – advantageous.
  • JIRA experience – advantageous.
