About the Job:

We are looking for an experienced HR/IR Assistant to join our dynamic team at The Talent Room. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in labour relations, recruitment, and payroll.

Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Employee Onboarding:
    • Coordinate job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and the selection process.
    • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all necessary documentation and orientation are completed.
  • Labour Relations and Compliance:
    • Support the HR Manager in handling labor relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
    • Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, and assist in resolving employee disputes.
  • Payroll Management:
    • Manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
    • Assist with leave management, employee benefits administration, and payroll queries.
  • HR Operations and Documentation:
    • Maintain up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
    • Prepare HR documents, such as contracts, appointment letters, and performance evaluations.
    • Assist in organizing training sessions and employee development programs.
  • Employee Engagement and Communication:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and benefits.
    • Assist in planning employee engagement activities and events to promote a positive work environment.
  • Reporting and Metrics:
    • Ensure that all HR practices align with South African labor laws and company policies.
    • Prepare HR reports on key metrics, including employee turnover, attendance, and performance.

Salary Estimate: R 300,000 - R 400,000 per annum
