Cape Union Mart International Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Planner to join our team in the Outdoor Department. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for driving sales and profitability through effective planning and execution of merchandise strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to achieving Turnover, GP & Stock budgets and other KPIs.
  • Post Seasonal analysis, Strategic Planning, Replenishment Planning, Range & Assortment Planning.
  • Budgeting and forecasting in order to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Stock control and distribution whereby you ensure that the product assortments, volumes and store & product attributes are maximized.
  • Raising of orders and submitting consolidations.
  • Liaising effectively with stores, suppliers, customers, shipping and marketing.
Requirements:
  • Min of 5 years experience as a Merchandise Planner.
  • Previous experience in Accessories planning or an area with replenishment is necessary.
  • Matric & Graduate qualification in a related field.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Reporting systems Proficiency in Enterprise Planning.

  • A passion for keeping up to date with product trends.
  • Good articulation with excellent English written & verbal communication skills.
  • Sound numerical, analytical thinking & logical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong merchant, trader and commercial mentality.
