We are looking for a detail-oriented Claims Assessor to join our team at Momentum. As a key member of our claims department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical aid claims.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Capturing and processing incoming medical aid claims.
  • Providing assistance to colleagues in the claims department as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with predetermined standards and business processes on the Oracle platform.
  • Validating claims in accordance with legislation and scheme rules.
  • Conducting quality control checks to minimize error rates.
  • Contributing to departmental reports and providing insights for improvement.

You will be required to possess:

  • Matriculation certification.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical aid assessing procedures.
  • Experience working on the Oracle platform (preferable).
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a claims assessor (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with industry knowledge, including BHF, Tariff Guide, SAMA, and ICD10 codes (advantageous).
