Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Technician to join our team at City Logistics. As an IT Security Technician, you will play a critical role in protecting our network and systems from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • General Security Checks:
    • Monitor the security of endpoint devices using Microsoft 365 Defender and remediate any issues that arise.
    • Analyze daily reports from McAfee database to ensure our systems remain secure.
    • Monitor traffic coming through our firewall using Forticloud.
    • Review IPS reports daily to identify potential security risks.
    • Check device compliance using Microsoft Intune and clean up stale devices on O365.
    • Use Rapid 7 to check for vulnerabilities on our server and patch them as needed.
  • Patching and Server Administration:
    • Daily, we check the Rapid7 dashboard for any vulnerabilities that need to be patched.
    • Servers are rebooted after hours throughout the week and every Sunday.
  • N-Able Patch Management:
    • We perform monthly auto-patching, where Windows updates are pushed to our servers.
    • This includes manually approving updates for each server.
    • Maintenance of the N-Able server is done on a weekly basis, ensuring all our servers are reporting back to the N-Able servers and client connectors are operational.
  • Identity and Access Management:
    • Create VPN accounts and domain accounts, and issue credentials to users.
    • Modify or remove user access or rights on our network.
    • Keep an accurate register of external users with access to our network, updated daily-weekly.
    • Create accounts on Osirium PAM solution.
    • Assist users with issues regarding access to VPN.
  • Documentation:
    • We compile company security policies and standard operating procedures.
    • Understand CIS 18 Controls and report on them.
