Job Summary

The Sales Representative will be responsible for creating sales orders, liaising with customers, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create sales orders on the computer system
  • Liaise with customers regarding stock shortages and provide updates on order status
  • Communicate with representatives to discuss price and material supplied to customers
  • Request faxed or emailed orders from customers
  • E nsure accurate account, item, quantity, and pricing are used when creating orders
  • Handle customer queries in a timely manner
  • Perform market research and tele sales activities
  • Offer additional products to customers as needed
  • Ensure all manufactured items have an official written order before production
  • Verify payment for COD customers before processing orders
  • Maintain internal sales equipment and keep the sales area clean and organized
  • Follow safety standards and ensure only authorized personnel access the internal sales office
  • Provide weekly feedback on lost sales and backorders

Requirements:

  • Computer literate on MS Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of sales principles and practices
