Position Overview:
The Deputy Director will report directly to the Country Director of CorpsAfrica/South Africa. This individual will play a key role in building the organization's capacity and must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Support staff development and management, fostering effective teamwork
  • Oversee the strategic planning process each year
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment, training, and assignment
  • Manage finances and oversee budget implementation
  • Represent the organization in public forums, including media appearances
  • Nurture relationships with Development Partners
  • Stay up-to-date on innovations in youth and community development

Qualifications:

  • A postgraduate degree and at least four years of management experience
  • Strong financial skills, including budgeting, planning, and accounting expertise
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with organizations in African countries, preferably where CorpsAfrica operates
  • Hands-on management style and problem-solving abilities
  • Diplomatic, integrity-driven, and sound judgment
  • Fluency in English and two other South African languages
