About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Sector Business Development Manager to join our team at Lenovo. As a key member of our Commercial & Public Sectors team in Southern Africa, you will be responsible for driving new business development and providing exceptional customer service to our public sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the total customer relationship for Public Sector Accounts, responsible for revenue, wallet share, customer satisfaction, and driving growth in assigned accounts.
  • Maintain and cultivate senior executive relationships.
  • Lead account planning and opportunity identification, conduct opportunity prioritization, and develop overall account plans for assigned accounts.
  • Plan, facilitate, and/or conduct complex negotiations for assigned accounts.
  • Conduct deep analysis in identifying complex problems, generate and coordinate solutions with other functions or team members to solve complex problems.
  • Achieve set sales targets, including value, volume, profitability, and development of new customers.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts and unit sales to be made.

Requirements

  • Mandatory to have a proven track record in managing relationships and converting leads into sustainable sales in the public sector for at least 5 years.
  • Sales experience is required, preferably in the IT industry. A university degree in business administration, information technology, or similar subjects is preferred.
  • Good technical IT product knowledge in both the end-user computing environment and the enterprise ecosystem with a solution-selling based approach.
  • High-level experience in Project Management and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrate expertise in building and maintaining customer and partner relationships.
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment, with both internal and external diverse customers. Collaboration with the entire virtual team.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office suite, with MSD or any other CRM.
