Digital Marketing Strategist - iGaming Specialist

About the Role:
Initiate International is seeking a skilled Digital Marketing Strategist to join our team in Johannesburg. As the ideal candidate, you will design, execute, and elevate campaigns that captivate audiences and drive measurable growth in the cutting-edge iGaming environment.

Main Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Managing and optimizing paid search campaigns across major platforms like Google, Bing, and YouTube, ensuring consistent growth and audience reach.
• Leading paid media efforts across various channels, such as Search (Google/Bing), Display & Video ads, App Campaigns, and YouTube.
• Strategically managing budgets to maximize ROI and achieve key performance indicators for every campaign.
• Preparing regular, insightful reports that deliver campaign performance data to internal teams and external partners, using these insights to refine strategies and uncover new opportunities for growth.
• Collaborating with international teams to align PPC efforts with overarching business goals, providing recommendations, updates, and market-specific insights to support strategic objectives.
• Identifying and refining key audience segments and keywords to reach the right players, optimizing each campaign to improve click-through rates and conversions.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with ad platforms and vendors, staying updated on industry trends and emerging tools that can give campaigns a competitive edge.
• Staying ahead of iGaming trends and PPC advancements, leading test initiatives to trial new strategies, features, or ad formats that enhance our digital presence.

Requirements:
This role requires:

• A degree or diploma in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in PPC strategy with a strong background in Google Ads (Search, Display & UAC) and Microsoft Ads, with a proven record of successful campaign management.
• Required certifications include Google Ads (AdWords & Analytics), with YouTube certification being advantageous.
• Proficiency in GDN (Prospecting & Remarketing), Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking; capable of adapting strategies to boost performance and outcomes.
• Familiarity with core tools such as Google Analytics, Apple Search Ads, Huawei Ads, and YouTube.
• Advanced Excel skills and a data-driven approach to analyze and refine campaigns for maximum impact.
• Excellent communicator with robust project management skills, adept at working with local and remote teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Constantly learning and staying ahead of PPC trends, with a drive to implement new tactics and expand performance media expertise.

Salary:
The estimated salary range for this position in Johannesburg is R 550,000 per annum.
