Talent Acquisition Role
We seek a seasoned Talent Acquisition Manager - Life Sciences to join our DSSM Talent Acquisition team at IQVIA. Based in South Africa, this position offers flexible work arrangements, with the option to work remotely or split time between home and office. As a Talent Acquisition Manager - Life Sciences, you will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive recruitment strategies for our assigned business units/departments, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes. Your primary focus will be on sourcing, selecting, and hiring top talent in Statistical Programming, Data Management, and Biostatistics, and collaborating with hiring managers to tailor recruitment solutions to meet their needs. Conducting thorough interviews and assessments will help you identify the ideal candidates for our team.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Identify, attract, and select top performers in Statistical Programming, Data Management, and Biostatistics.
  2. Maintain and grow a pool of potential candidates.
  3. Collaborate closely with hiring managers to comprehend their needs and deliver bespoke recruitment solutions.
  4. Lead thorough interview and evaluation processes to pinpoint the most suitable candidates.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Collaborate with management in assigned service areas, business units, or departments to source, select, and hire qualified candidates for vacant positions, leveraging efficient methods and adhering to company policies, procedures, and processes.
  2. Develop compelling job descriptions and posting strategies to effectively advertise positions.
  3. Carefully review applications, conduct interviews, and collect vital information about applicants' professional background, education, training, job skills, and salary expectations.
  4. Oversee and execute job advertising campaigns across multiple channels.
  5. Promote our employer brand and foster relationships with academic institutions, alumni networks, and other organizations to discover prospective applicants.
  6. Forge partnerships with external recruiters and employment agencies to locate and recruit exceptional candidates.
  7. Leverage online recruiting tools to efficiently identify and engage with top candidates.
  8. Foster open dialogue with senior management and business leaders to discuss, agree upon, and achieve defined staffing goals.
  9. Deliver training to management on recruitment, interviewing, and selection processes when necessary.
  10. Embody a culture of inclusivity and fairness in the hiring process, respecting local and regional regulations and standards.
  11. Staying informed about market trends and competitor activity that impact our ability to attract top talent, ensuring alignment with compensation practices and internal policies.
  12. Depending on the business line, may contribute to achieving specific financial targets and supporting business development initiatives.

Essential Qualifications
  1. Proven track record of success in Life Sciences recruitment, especially within Clinical Research.
  2. Minimum 1 year of direct experience in talent acquisition or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in navigating relevant laws and regulations governing recruitment processes.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, HRIS systems, and other productivity software.
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  7. Deep understanding of the commercial landscape and market dynamics.
  8. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  9. Highly confidential and discreet in handling sensitive information.
  10. Ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize, and organize work efficiently.
  11. Excellent networking and collaboration skills, fostering positive relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients.
