Job Description
We're looking for a skilled Clinical Research Recruitment Specialist to support our DSSM Talent Acquisition team at IQVIA. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to work remotely from anywhere in South Africa or split your time between home and our offices. As a Clinical Research Recruitment Specialist, you'll contribute to improving our staffing function by developing and implementing strategies for all staffing programs in designated business units/departments, mainly focusing on one geographic area. You'll collaborate with hiring managers to determine their needs and provide tailored recruitment solutions, while conducting interviews and assessments to find the ideal candidates for our team.

Responsibilities
  1. Gather top talent in Statistical Programming, Data Management, and Biostatistics.
  2. Maintain a robust candidate pipeline.
  3. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their requirements and offer targeted recruitment solutions.
  4. Conduct interviews and evaluations to identify the most suitable candidates for our team.

Essential Duties
  1. Partner with management in assigned service areas, business units, or departments to source, select, and hire qualified candidates for vacant positions using cost-effective methods and adhering to company policies, procedures, and processes.
  2. Create job postings and advertise positions across various platforms.
  3. Review applications, conduct interviews, and gather information about applicants' work history, education, training, job skills, and salary expectations.
  4. Develop and manage job advertisements across different media channels.
  5. Participate in job fairs and build relationships with educational institutions, alumni groups, and other organizations to identify potential candidates.
  6. Collaborate with external recruiters and employment agencies to find and recruit candidates.
  7. Utilize online recruiting resources to identify and recruit candidates.
  8. Meet with business leaders and executive management to discuss and set staffing objectives and ensure their achievement.
  9. Provide training to line management on recruitment, interviewing, and selection processes as needed.
  10. Support diversity in the workforce and adhere to local and regional hiring guidelines and procedures, particularly for applicant tracking.
  11. Stay updated on market trends and demands affecting the company's ability to attract top candidates; coordinate with the compensation team on salary considerations and equity issues.
  12. May be responsible for meeting financial targets and contributing to business development activities based on the business line.

Requirements
  1. Previous experience in Life Sciences recruitment, preferably in Clinical Research.
  2. 1 year of experience in a staffing function as a recruiter or a combination of recruiter and specialist experience, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation in the recruitment process.
  4. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Strong attention to detail.
  7. Good problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  8. Awareness of the commercial environment and market trends.
  9. Strong customer service skills.
  10. High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  11. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and plan daily activities.
  12. Capacity to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients.
