About the Role:

  • Review 3rd Party Agreements to ensure compliance
  • Assist with establishing and operating investment funds in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Review different fund Prospectuses for adherence to legal and regulatory standards
  • Implement Compliance and Risk Procedures to minimize potential risks
  • Provide Company and Client Company Secretarial services
  • Manage risk and compliance across various sectors

FIC Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable about the FIC Act, related legislations and regulations
  • Ability to draft policies and implement them in the business while keeping up to date with changes in regulations
  • Understand and know the reporting requirements under FIC
  • Liaise with FIC for submissions and monitoring of RMCP
  • Monitor, update and implement KYC processes
  • Draft documents and process when necessary
  • Act as FICA compliance officer
  • Provide in-house training

POPIA Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable about the POPI Act and PAI Act, related legislations and regulations
  • Ability to work through GN, regulations etc and draft or amend policies when necessary to keep up to date on changes
  • Ensure implementation, monitoring and updating of POPIA plans and processes and PAIA manual
  • Act as Information Officer
  • Liaise with the Information Regulator for submissions
  • Deal with requests in terms of POPIA and PAIA
  • Investigate data breaches/security compromises and submit notifications
  • Draft documents necessary in terms of POPIA and ensure clients receive necessary information
  • Track acceptance or non-acceptance in terms of POPIA requests

FAIS Compliance:

  • Liaise with external compliance officers
  • Implement internal compliance requirements
  • Ensure FAIS requirements are met
  • Keep records of advice and samples 'audited' regularly (client file sampling)
  • Understanding of FAIS act and related legislation will be an advantage

Requirements:

  • Tertiary Degree, qualification in Law
  • 3-5 years experience in Financial Services industry
  • A hard working individual with strong verbal and written communication skills
