We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Director to join our team at Belmond Management Limited. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving the financial success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the monitoring, controlling, and recording of all sales, purchases, salaries, and expenses of the business.
  • Prepare and review all monthly financial reporting of the business, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective financial management strategies to optimize business performance and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to establish and maintain local policies, rules, and internal controls that ensure profitability and control of operations.
  • Oversee the Treasurer function, ensuring effective cash planning and management, and review the cash position on a weekly basis to optimize fund utilization and minimize cash holdings.
  • Maintain close liaison with external and internal auditors, ensuring effective action on all agreed-upon recommendations and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Monitor all budgets and report major deviations from approved budgets, ensuring timely and effective corrective action.
  • Ensure all taxes are paid and related reports are filed on a timely basis, and review changes to tax laws and accounting policies to ensure compliance and implement necessary changes.
  • Recruit, train, develop, discipline, and evaluate the finance team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years' experience as a Financial Controller, preferably in an international chain environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial processes, including budgeting, financial closure, and reporting.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting, and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
