Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Director with a strong background in healthcare management and clinical research. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing clinical trials, developing strategic plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and navigate complex healthcare environments.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for clinical research initiatives.">
  • Lead regional clinical research teams, ensuring compliance with ethical, regulatory, and scientific standards.">
  • Collaborate with research teams to develop, implement, and deliver clinical trials.">
  • Ensure compliance with local and international research regulations, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP).">
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation and budget management.">
  • Represent the organization at national and international forums, conferences, and meetings.">
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, regulatory bodies, and funding agencies.">
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.">
  • Promote a positive work environment, fostering teamwork and professional development across all levels of the organization.">

Key Requirements:

  • ">
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Medicine, Clinical Research, Biomedical Sciences).">
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in clinical research, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role.">
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage teams effectively.">
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.">
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.">
  • Ability to work under pressure and navigate complex healthcare environments.">
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial design, execution, and regulatory frameworks.">
  • Familiarity with healthcare and clinical research regulations in Zimbabwe and internationally.">
  • Commitment to ethical standards and patient safety.">
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.">
  • Experience with interventional trials.">
