Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Desco Electronic Recyclers. This is a key leadership role that will oversee all aspects of financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient use of company resources.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and process improvement. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of accountants and bookkeepers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and payroll;
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimize financial performance;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable;
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop recommendations for process improvements and cost savings;
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations;
  • Manage and motivate a team of accountants and bookkeepers to achieve financial goals and objectives;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA designation preferred;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in financial management, preferably in a leadership role;
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory compliance;
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills;
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite;
