Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of procurement and inventory, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with relevant legislation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing effective procurement strategies to drive performance improvements in direct spend
  • Leading preferential procurement practices in accordance with South African broad-based black economic empowerment codes
  • Overseeing enterprise development initiatives to ensure maximum compliance with broad-based black economic empowerment codes
  • Upholding principles and values, business controls, ethics, policies, and procedures, and professional standards
  • SUPPORTING COMPLIANCE INITIATIVES AND CORPORATE COMMODITY, LOGISTICS, AND INVENTORY STRATEGIES TO ACHIEVE SYNERGY ACROSS OPERATIONS

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree/National Diploma in Business or Logistics Management/Supply Chain Management
  • Business Administration Qualification (MDP/MAP/PDM)

At least 10 years of experience in supply chain and logistics environments, with exposure to the Heavy Engineering/Manufacturing sector. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to organize, plan, and monitor all aspects of work.

The salary for this position is approximately R800,000 per annum, based on industry standards and the location.
