Job Description
  • Procurement Coordination : We require the support of the preparation of procurement plans, standards, documentation, and procedures ensuring alignment with project objectives and philosophies.
  • Tender and Supplier Management : The successful candidate will be responsible for handling RFQs, tender queries, commercial evaluations, supplier negotiations, and recommendations for award while maintaining bidder lists and supplier databases.
  • Purchase Order Administration : This role involves issuing, processing, and amending purchase orders, ensuring approvals, compliance with terms, and accurate invoice management within the supply chain system.
  • Recordkeeping and Reporting : Maintenance of organised filing systems, tracking procurement progress, and preparing monthly forecasts and project reports is essential.
  • Compliance and Closure : Confidentiality must be maintained, disputes resolved, penalties and claims managed, and timely purchase order closeouts ensured including bank guarantees and cash retentions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school education
  • Diploma in a related field
  • Experience of procurement in the mineral processing plant field
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with project personnel, suppliers & clients
  • Appreciation and participation in team behaviour within procurement & project team environments
  • Must be responsible, accurate and thorough in all areas
  • Thorough knowledge of and experience with computers and associated complex software packages
