At SPARK Schools, we are committed to providing a transformative education experience for our students. As a High School Learning Support Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the academic success and wellbeing of our scholars.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide extra support in classrooms and innovations during the learning day
  • Emotional Learning curriculum with scholars
  • Behavior management of scholars
  • Communicate professionally with parents and line managers about incidents, conflicts, or concerns that occur in the after school programs
  • Supervise lunch and break during the instructional day
  • School patrols
  • Bathroom supervision
  • Ensure SPARK's healthy food scheme is enforced with students by checking lunches
  • Supervise scholars during the after school program, ensuring play, and structured activities
  • Plan engaging enrichment experiences and resources for scholars including but not limited to structured activities and team based sports activities such as netball
  • Assist scholars with clarifying and reviewing concepts taught in class, explaining processes and assist students to solve academic problems with a specific focus on mathematics
  • Schedule and plan individual sessions for your scholars in collaboration with subject matter educators
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • 1-2 years study towards an education degree, specialising in mathematics is advantageous
  • Prior working experience with High School age scholars preferred
  • Clear/clean criminal record
  • Provisional SACE is advantageous but not required
