Job Summary

The Assistant Principal will play a key role in driving student achievement and instructional excellence at our school. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a strong leader with excellent coaching and mentoring skills, as well as a deep understanding of curriculum design and instructional strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instructional coaching and mentoring to teachers to improve student achievement and instructional practices.
  • Design and facilitate professional development sessions for teachers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with school leaders to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies that align with our school's vision and mission.
  • Support the development of a culture of collaboration and innovation among teachers and staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress and achievement, and make data-driven decisions to inform instructional practices.
  • Participate in the selection and onboarding of new staff members.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support student achievement and instructional excellence.
Requirements
  • English language fluency.
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Completed B.Ed or PGCE degree.
  • SACE registration.
Experience
  • Previous experience managing or working with primary school-aged children.
  • At least 2 years of excellent classroom instruction.
  • Previous experience leading a team.
  • Experience and practice with labour laws.
