  • Database Performance Optimization: Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and configurations for efficient data retrieval and storage.
  • Backup and Recovery: Plan and execute database backups, disaster recovery procedures, and high availability solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • ETL Processes: Create and manage Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to facilitate seamless data integration, transformation, and migration between various systems and databases.
  • Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot database issues and support application development and deployment. Provide technical guidance and training to colleagues on database best practices, performance tuning, and troubleshooting techniques.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in Information Technology
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years working experience with 5 years as a Database Administrator for a medium to large company
  • Skills: Proficiency in database management in MS SQL Server, familiarity with Azure, strong understanding of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling techniques, knowledge of SQL programming for querying, scripting, and automation tasks, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
