Inventory Control Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at Milkor. As an integral part of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our storeroom or warehouse.
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining Accurate Records
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of stock levels, including receiving, storing, and issuing goods. This involves conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy.
Stock MonitoringMonitor stock levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations. You will need to stay on top of inventory movements to prevent discrepancies and ensure that goods are stored properly.
Receiving and Issuing GoodsReceive incoming goods, check them against internal manufacturing orders, and inspect for damages or discrepancies. Ensure that all received goods are correctly labelled and stored in the appropriate location.
Organising the StoreroomOrganise the storeroom or warehouse to optimise space utilisation and ensure easy access to items. This includes preparing and issuing raw materials, tools, components, and equipment to relevant departments or personnel as needed.
Preparing Goods for DispatchPack and prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring they are correctly labelled and documented. Coordinate with logistics to arrange timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Maintaining Accurate RecordsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, returns, and transfers. Generate and manage reports on stock levels, inventory movements, and any discrepancies.
Equipment MaintenanceEnsure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained, stored, and accounted for. Perform regular checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
Health and SafetyAdhere to all health and safety regulations within the storeroom or warehouse. Implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
CollaborationWork closely with other departments, such as procurement, production, assembly, maintenance, CNC, surface treatment, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations. Assist other departments if needed and communicate effectively with team members regarding inventory needs and issues.
Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities for improving inventory management processes and implement changes to increase efficiency. Stay updated on best practices in warehouse management and inventory control.
Training and SupervisionTrain and supervise junior staff or assistants in inventory management and warehouse operations. Ensure that all team members are aware of and follow the correct procedures.

- Driver's License
- Understanding of Inventory Management Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Packages
The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for career growth and development.
