Retail Makeup Artist

As a Cosmetics Counter Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and sales performance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Providing welcoming, personal, professional service to all customers at all times.
• Demonstrating effective communication skills, listening to the customer, asking questions, investigating preferences, and making the experience interactive.
• Suggesting groups of appropriate products and colours to meet and exceed customer's needs.
• Assisting customers with product and services selection and information.
• Performing professional and appropriate makeup applications to achieve the look the customer desires.
• Informing customers of available services, M.A.C consciousness programs, and philosophies.
• Obtaining customer data for M.A.C addict book or other client list as required.
• Meeting individual responsibility for contributing to the team's goals in terms of service, sales, and company objectives.
• Adhering to current 'good counter practices'.
• Giving great internal customer service and developing good working relationships with colleagues.
• Being punctual and managing time on counter effectively.
• Keeping informed about products, company information, and store information.
• Actively participating in store theme days, events, and new product launches.
• Achieving Skills Certification requirements.
• Actively participating in M.A.C training sessions and partnered store mandatory training sessions.
• Assisting in Inventory Management.
• Assisting daily in stock and hygiene supplies replenishment and maintaining appropriate levels throughout the day.
• Communicating low on stock and out of stocks to the Retail Manager.
• Assisting in the proper rotation of stock.
• Maintaining work environment.
• Actively participating in cleaning displayer units, tools, and testers throughout the day, and more thoroughly at night to prepare for next day's business.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Maintaining tester units in proper schematic order, replacing products once authorized by manager.
• Replacing any broken or damaged products authorized by manager.
• Maintaining proper placement and condition of merchandise on counter, in stock rooms, and all stock holding areas.
• Informing management of any store maintenance or Health and Safety issues which might lead to accidents.
• Administrative Assistance Activities.
• Assisting with inventory counts.
• Being responsible for booking demos and lessons.
• Adhering to proper security procedures regarding handling of cash and assets.
