Assistant Waiter Job Description

Crew Life at Sea is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Waiter to join our team on our cruise ships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Waiter in taking food and beverage orders from guests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all tables are set up properly and have all necessary items.
  • Clear tables and clean up after guests have finished their meals, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Assist with restocking of supplies and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner, working closely with the kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared and served correctly.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for guests and crew members.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, lift and carry trays and other items up to 25 pounds, and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
