Dining Steward Job Description

Crew Life at Sea is seeking a skilled and friendly Dining Steward to join our team. As a Dining Steward, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome guests as they enter the dining area, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
  • Assist in seating guests and taking orders, providing personalized attention to detail.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
  • Ensure all dining areas are clean and properly set up before, during, and after service, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of supplies such as cutlery, dishes, and linens, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
  • Assist in the preparation of dining areas for special events or occasions, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, resolving issues in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food delivery, maintaining a high level of communication and collaboration.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with previous experience in a similar role preferably in a fine dining or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a positive attitude and a team player mentality.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, with the ability to pass a background check and drug test.
