Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to join our team at Fouche & Co Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, including creating and processing quotes for catering, novelty cakes, and meals. They will also handle general admin work, maintain records, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Customer Engagement

The Operations Coordinator will provide excellent customer service by addressing complaints, resolving issues, and welcoming guests. They will coordinate with customers for cake and catering pick-ups, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Event Coordination

The successful candidate will plan and coordinate events, from small gatherings to large-scale catering services. They will work with the kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth execution of events.

Practical Ad-hoc Duties

The Operations Coordinator will handle on-the-spot issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. They will also assist with other practical tasks as needed to support the team.

Marketing & Social Media

The successful candidate will manage social media accounts in line with the restaurants branding parameters. They will promote events, specials, and holiday promotions through engaging content on social platforms. They will also collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional strategies.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software.

They will also have experience in event planning and coordination, and the ability to handle practical challenges with a calm and resourceful approach. Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing principles is also essential.

The successful candidate will be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.

Remuneration

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of R20 000 CTC.
