Job Description

A highly professional, numerically inclined client centric professional is required to join our dynamic team at HR Genie as a Client Relationship Manager.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To ensure that fund administration is undertaken accurately and within set time constraints, providing daily assistance to support Investment teams, Analysts, Investment Risk, and Portfolio Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timeous processing and administration of client flows
  • Full onboarding and execution of new client take-on
  • Systems or transaction processing of transitions and partial take-ons and take-offs
  • Daily performance checking, reviewing, and reporting while liaising with the Investment Risk team
  • Daily executions of money market transactions
  • Cash management coordination and administration (including electronic banking)
  • Instructions and administration reconciliations of investments into pooled unit trust and/or life products
  • Daily data monitoring, review, and coordination with data support team and review for further enhancements
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting review and distribution to all clients
  • Management account and amortisation schedule reviews of Private and Public Market funds
  • Annual financial audit coordination for Private and Public Markets funds
  • Client Audit Certificate reviews
  • Preparation, review, and distribution of: Quarterly SARB reporting, Reg 28 and Reg 30 reporting, C48 Reporting
  • Review and follow-up on Bank/Scrip Recons queries
  • Annual procedure documentation review and maintenance
  • Management and performance fee calculations, invoicing, and payment processing
  • Equity, Derivative, Fixed Income, Money Market, International trade monitoring
  • Corporate Action review and coordination with Portfolio Managers and administrators
  • Maintain third-party relationships (Administrators, Brokers, Custodians, Consultants)

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Relevant B.Com Honours Degree/Relevant Finance or Investment Degree
  • Five years' demonstrable experience within the asset management and/or fund management arena
  • Exposure or understanding to Unit Trust and Life products is required
  • Experience gained with both public and private sector clients and/or eagerness to work in both spheres
  • Experience of investment report backs to clients
  • Technical knowledge of Investments, encompassing knowledge of performance and positioning of funds
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Proficient with MS Excel (v-lookup, x-lookup, SUMIF, etc.) and having strong data management skills
  • Working knowledge of PowerBI would be advantageous
