Ikwezi Mining is seeking a highly skilled Transport Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating all mining road transport related activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transporter Onboarding: Ensure that all transporters are properly onboarded and equipped to perform their duties.
  • Transport Planning: Plan and book transport routes, taking into account factors such as fuel efficiency, road conditions, and weather.
  • Transporter Monitoring: Monitor the performance of transporters, including their adherence to schedules and safety protocols.
  • Transport Query Management: Respond to queries from transporters and other stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reconciliations: Reconcile transport and diesel records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Road Transport Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on road transport activities.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with transporters, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve scanning issues on the Transport Management System and ensure that communication is maintained with all transporters and staff.
  • Register Maintenance: Create and maintain a register of all issues per site, transporter, FEL downtimes, etc.
  • Emergency Response: Be the first point of contact in case of emergencies and inform relevant stakeholders within the company.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transport, or a related field is preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Shift Work: Ability to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license and own transport are preferred.
