Job Description:

The role of a Client Liaison Officer at JSE Limited is to provide exceptional support to corporate clients, ensuring seamless interactions and efficient resolutions to their queries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer client accounts, including executive share schemes and BEE schemes.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and internal teams to address client requests and resolve issues.
  • Liaise with various departments to action client requests, amendments, trades, and tax queries.
  • Apply knowledge and comply with regulations when performing Share Plan administration and BEE schemes duties.
  • Support management in maintaining high-quality client service and ensuring timely resolution of client issues.

Systems Administration:

  • Monitor client accounts and events using the Share Plan Services (SPS) system.
  • Validate received documentation and requests, ensuring correctness before instructing support teams to action.
  • Manage email and phone call interactions and closure of requests through Outlook or Genesys.

SUPPORT SERVICES:

  • Assist in collecting, preparing, and distributing information required for management and client reporting.
  • Complete project work or tasks as required by other teams.
  • Maintain records of all work performed and report daily statistics to management.
  • Communicate and liaise with other departments to meet client needs.
  • Render backup support where assistance is required.

Compliance and Quality:

  • Maintain and improve quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines, recommending improved procedures.
  • Operate within controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of the JSE.
  • Identify and report risks or areas of concern to management within area of responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and procedures to prevent fruitless, wasteful, and irregular expenditure.

Customer Service:

  • Maintain effective working relationships with clients and internal support teams to render high-quality services.
  • Identify and solve problems while demonstrating a high level of integrity in line with JSE core values.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in a client services environment.

Technical Competencies:

  • Understanding of regulatory environment, laws, acts, and rules of the financial industry.
  • Knowledge of Share Plans and BEE Schemes.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
