Job Title: Senior Agile Project Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Agile Project Manager to join our team at Nedbank. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of enterprise-wide projects to ensure successful implementation and delivery of business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans, specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, risk identification, and resource allocation.
  • Manage and lead agile teams, ensuring successful implementation of agile methodologies and delivery of high-quality software projects.
  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to project teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver projects successfully.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize project requirements, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring costs are accurately estimated and managed within project scope.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 2-3 years of experience in managing large programmes and agile teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and their application in software development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional qualifications in project management, such as PMP or Prince certification.
  • Experience working in a Juristic (CIB, NCB, SBS) environment.
  • Knowledge of programme delivery into Africa.
