This exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Operations Road Transport Leader to join our dynamic team at DSV Road GmbH.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the operations of the branch, ensuring that it is aligned with the overall objectives of the organization. They will also be responsible for managing the staff, clients, and deliverables of the branch, ensuring that it is operating within agreed-upon parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To manage the delivery of the organizations objectives through communication, measurement, and motivation of the staff.
  2. To interface with shared functions ensuring continued cooperation and interactions with these functions.
  3. To manage and deliver on clients' commitments based on local, national, and global strategy.
  4. To manage cost and productivity within the branch ensuring that efficiency and effectiveness is at the order of the day.
  5. To ensure compliance to internal and external controls and other KPI's set at global and local level.

What You'll Need:

  • Diploma / BComm / PG Diploma in Logistics (or related) will be an added advantage.
  • 5 years of experience in the Logistics and Road Transport environment.
  • 5 years of previous business and/or operational management experience.
  • Sales, Operational, HR, and IR (BCEA, LRA) knowledge is essential.
  • Must have a valid, unendorsed Code 08 drivers license.
  • Must have own reliable transport.
  • Be able to work overtime/shifts should it be needed.
  • Flexible to travel.
