Weaving Operations Director

Establish a strong leadership presence in the Weaving, Warp Knitting, and Weaving Preparation departments at Tower Group. Drive productivity, quality, and cost improvements to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).

The ideal candidate will work closely with product development and design teams to ensure technical considerations are incorporated into the development process.

This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Productivity: Oversee the efficient operation of Weaving, Warp Knitting, and Weaving Preparation departments to achieve productivity targets and maintain quality standards.
  • Quality: Coordinate KPI monitoring and measurement for continuous improvement, address anomalies promptly, and meet objectives and targets.
  • Cost: Formulate departmental budgets, manage operating costs, and provide input on product costing to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate leadership skills to provide clear direction and align operations with strategic goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Weaving Manager role within a textile manufacturing operation.
  • Strong leadership skills, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking, lean manufacturing, and total quality management expertise.
  • A bachelor's degree in Textile Technology or Engineering, with postgraduate certifications in production management and SHEQ a distinct advantage.

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
