Energy Efficiency Consultant

Join us at Watershed Consulting, where we strive to deliver innovative solutions in energy efficiency and sustainability. As an Energy Application Engineer, you will play a critical role in our Business Development Division, driving commercial and technical growth.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in energy efficiency measures, utilities implementation, and engineering design. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
• Driving sustainable financial growth by increasing energy-related sales and building strong relationships with clients.
• Establishing partnerships with product suppliers to expand market presence.
• Providing commercial and technical support using knowledge of factory utility operations.
• Designing cost-effective solutions ensuring technical compliance with client requirements.
• Conducting plant audits to develop energy management value propositions and managing design components.
• Troubleshooting and optimizing operations for O&M contracts involving energy management.
• Preparing designs and technical proposals for engineering studies and industrial tenders.
• Collaborating with Tendering teams to ensure proposal profitability and sustainability.

**Requirements & Competence:**

• Bachelor's degree in Process, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Industrial Engineering.
• Ideal fluency in Afrikaans, English, and other languages.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Design, Industrial, or Production Engineer.
• Prior experience focusing on Utilities (Boilers, Cooling Towers, Chillers etc) and implementation of general Energy Saving Measures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding leadership and mentoring skills.
• Advantageous: ECSA Registration and understanding of Waste to Energy Technologies.

**Salary:** Estimated salary range for this position is R750,000 - R1,000,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
