Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Test Strategy Director - Software Quality to join our team. This is a permanent position based in Johannesburg, with a hybrid work arrangement (2 days in the office, Tuesday, and Thursday).

Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
  • Create and execute comprehensive test strategies to ensure the highest level of software quality.
  • Develop and implement detailed test plans, test schedules, and test cases to align with project deliverables.
  • Prioritize, allocate, and execute tasks based on project plans, ensuring timely completion.
  • Organize and conduct weekly team meetings to review progress, discuss challenges, and prioritize outstanding tasks.
  • Closely collaborate with project teams to ensure project deliverables meet expectations.
  • Assess and manage testing risks, identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Provide analytical support in resolving defects, contributing to system design documents, and reviewing technical requirements.
  • Take ownership of queries, offering solutions to stakeholders, and providing feedback to senior management and project managers.
Requirements
  • Degree in Information Systems/Technology/Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years as a Test Manager/Lead for a test team of at least 5 FTEs.
  • At least 8 years of experience in manual and automated software testing.
  • Strong experience driving test strategy, designing test frameworks, and enhancing existing test processes.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is R1,200,000 per annum, plus benefits.
