Job Overview

About the Role:

As a Regional Broker with Armstrong Appointments, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and managing retention in Durban or Cape Town. This exciting opportunity requires a highly motivated individual with a strong background in sales and underwriting.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage distribution channels and broker development to achieve targeted sales and underwriting profit.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high-quality client service and effective underwriting processes.
  3. Adhere to governance frameworks and best practices, ensuring compliance with technical and operational underwriting standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent qualification.
  • AIISA or FIISA certification.
  • FAIS compliance.
  • Valid Code 08 Driver's License.
Preferred Experience:
  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical/operational role, with at least 3 years in a similar position.
  2. Experience in the South African insurance/re-insurance market, with a strong understanding of sales, underwriting, and compliance requirements.
  3. Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
